The kitty sat on the window sill
Watching the humans eat their fill
I don't like turkey the boy grumbled
Kitty cat's tummy loudly rumbled
Mummy human tilted her head
Listen the cat is purring she said
It's Christmas time bring her dish
Don't let her just sit there and wish
The boy clapped his hands in glee
Oh good she can eat my turkey for me
The cat picked up the piece of bird
Then she did something quite absurd
Taking the turkey straight outside
Dropping it next to her feral mate
Purred and returned to her plate
It's not just Christmas for sharing
Every day we too should be caring
Even animals are aware of that
Take a lesson from this hungry cat

A Morning Kiss

A morning kiss, a discreet touch of his nose landing somewhere on the middle of my face.
Because his long white whiskers tickled, I began every day laughing.
