Floot chilling on her birthdayHello there from a very cool Thassos. I know this island is the most northerly in Greece but what a shock in the last few days, it’s gone from 25oC to about 15oC. The winds have been very strong which sends all us cats a bit loopy!! For some reason we rush about, like when you have your ‘mad half hour.’ But this lasts the whole time the wind is blowing. Plus, this morning we got up and it was raining!!! It’s nearly the tourist season for goodness sake, can’t they get the weather sorted??? Mind Mam is travelling back to the UK this weekend, therefore missing Easter, and she’s been told it might snow whilst she’s there. Oh dear! Easter in Greece, is on 29th April, this year.

Anyway I turned 7 in April, so we had our usual treat. Dad prepared ‘gavros’ for us, that’s small whole fish fried, to you humans, delicious. Trouble is I’m the only cat in this household whose birthday is definitely known. As most of the other lot just turned up the Parent’s don’t know exactly when the rest were born, so we all celebrate on my birthday.

Jack finally playsMam even gave us milk, mmm. Funny everyone says you shouldn’t give cats milk as it upsets their tums, but we all love it and if Mam decides to give us evaporated, well HEAVEN, that’s what we all say. Mind, don’t think young Jack has experienced evap yet!

I am enclosing a photo of gavros but we don’t get it so poshly prepared!!!!

Till the next time

Floot
