Zooti was born in the Rocky Mountains west of Boulder, CO. He came into our lives late September of 1995.  He lived a long happy life with his human friends Mike and Megan and his feline friend Nutmeg, in Boulder until 2002 and in Las Vegas until he passed on September 10, 2011. He died at home on the big bed, in our bedroom, on his favourite blanket with his name on it with us by his side. He always loved to cuddle in comfy blankets, take long naps, sit on our laps and watch movies, play with his mouseys and earmuffs, chase the laser toy and wrestle with Nutter.

ZootiHe was very vocal, loved to talk to us and had a big vocabulary. He loved to go outside on the patio and watch the birds and lay in the sun. In the winter he loved to walk in the snow on the patio.  He loved to be on the counter and go to his clubhouse above the fridge or sleep in his cubbyhole.  He would tuck us in every night and wait for us to turn out the light, then he would go to the front bedroom windowsill and watch over the cul-de-sac. Every morning he would come on the bed to wake us up for breakfast. In the winters he loved the giant black fur comforter and would sleep with us always.

ZootiHe was the best friend and companion in the whole world. Zooti, you will be missed forever!

Mike

A Morning Kiss

A morning kiss, a discreet touch of his nose landing somewhere on the middle of my face.
Because his long white whiskers tickled, I began every day laughing.
