The PDSA (People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals) for sick and injured pets has been around since 1917.  In 2015, they helped 470,000 UK pets in their PDSA pet hospitals.  Helping pets in need for nearly 100 years was down to the vision of one amazing woman: Maria Elisabeth Dickin.  She was determined to raise both the status of animals in society and the standard of their care.
