Hi everyone

Casey and Gibbs with new Santa beds Did you have a nice Christmas? I hope Santa Paws brought some nice presents for you to enjoy.  We were swamped, actually.  We had a ton of presents ranging from various catnip toys and dangly things, some cat food treats and the biggest and best was a cardboard box that another present came in.  Dad bought us a new bed each.  They look like huge Santa slippers (our Mum – being the silly billy she is especially after a bottle of Baileys - put them on and clomped about!) and they have a little scratching pad on them which I use, but Gibbs doesn’t.  You know his aversion to using scratching pads and posts when there is a perfectly good rug he can strafe his claws on.  They’re made of crinkly stuff so if you lie on them, you make all sorts of funny noises.  Gibbs being a scaredy-cat won’t lie on his, but I did try mine out.

Casey in the big boxBy far the best present was not really a present at all.  It was the box that the Santa beds came in.  It was a huge box and we both got in it – not at the same time – but I went in first, had a sniff and a look around it, and then when I came out of it, Gibbs went inside and did the same thing.

Mum wearing our new Santa bedsMum spent a few days wrapping up lots of other presents to give to her family and one by one they came over to our house and spent time unwrapping them again.  I don’t get that, do you? They spend ages making them look nice and then rip the paper off within seconds.  Humans, I’ll never understand them as long as I live.

Till the next time
