It is said by some that we are all here one earth to learn from each other. If this is so, wouldn’t that include our beloved pets as well?
As a cat owner (if there ever could be such a thing), I see no doubts at all to the issue. The following are some things over the years that I have learned from my felines. Maybe you would like to add to the list?
1. The world is your playground if you are a cat. This includes paper bags, drawers, closets, laundry rooms, and generally speaking, anywhere a cat may be forbidden to go. Why, you may ask? The answer is the same as it was for Edmund Hilary when a reporter asked him why he climbed Mt. Everest, “because it’s there!”
2. Nap often. This is a good rule of thumb (or paw), as even owners can’t deal with life and its problems sometimes. Do the mature thing; don’t deal with it. You will wake up refreshed with more energy to play with your kitties!
3. Climb your way to the top. That’s why the curtains are there. Stop at nothing to achieve your goals! Don’t give up and don’t ever take no for an answer. After all, if kitty damages the curtains, kitty won’t be the one to pay for them!
4. Variety is the spice of life. Keep your friends and family guessing about how you really feel about them! One day love them and the next ignore them completely. Make them vie for your attention. They will either appreciate you more or find someone else to bother.
5. When in trouble, just purr and look cute. This does work, but only the first few times. If you are planning to cause long-term trouble, you might want to either cop an attitude or move to another town.
Do you have a kitty rule of paw you might like to add to the list? Please share.

Three cats is an attempted takeover.
