BabyDeziHello everyone, it's me Dezi. Me sure hopes you're all doing well. We know you haven't seen us in a while but we've had a lot going on around here. What with sis Lexi and the Chronic Kidney disease and me was diagnosed with Sterile Cystitis a little over a month ago, Mommy's been running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to learn everything she can about these diseases. We're all doing good right now thanks to lots of prayers and mommy's research so we just had to come and chat with y'all. Now you all know that usually sis Lexi does most of the writin' here at the Daily Mews, but after some meowin' back and forth, she said I could write it this month. After all, It's the month me was born and got "gotted."

Yep, 6 years ago on November the 1st me was born. A few weeks later, 21 days to be exact, me was knockin' on death’s door and had been swooped up by a dog rescue. You read that right, a dog rescue took me and me's litter-mates away from the pawful breeder in an effort to save us. Course they had no idea what to do with kittens, especially sick un-weaned kittens. Well that's where mommy comes in. She had just lost one of her service kitties and was friends with one of the ladies in the rescue group. They called mommy and asked her to come look at the kittens (me's litter-mates and me) and tell them what to do. Of course mommy told them she would be right there. The next thing me remembers was the sweetest smell ever wafting through the air.

Baby DeziWe were all huddled together in a small cage, all eleven of us. We were cold, hungry, shaking and scared. And out of nowhere me could smell something sweet and comforting. A lady came in and gathered all of us up and put us in a basket. She took us into a room where that sweet smell got even stronger and then she dumped us out on the cold hard floor. Me's litter-mates all huddled up together, but me headed for that smell. The room was still and quiet. Me waddled over closer to the sweetness and climbed the hills what was mommy's legs and laid down and purred. And then me heard the sweetest words ever, "You're my destiny." Me had no clue what that meant, but when me looked up, the sweet smellin' lady was smilin' ear to ear and had leaky eyes. Me just knew it had to be good.

Then she picked me up and held me close to her. Me could feel her heart beating faster and faster as she kissed me's head and said, "Do you wanna come home with me little one?" Me purred so loud and hard everything around me was vibrating. Me didn't know what she was saying, but me was gonna do whatever me had to in order to go home with the sweet smelling comforting lady.

Dezi and Mommy AudraMe's litter-mates never came over to mommy. They were too afraid to separate from each other. But me knew if me wanted to live, me couldn't stay there. The nasty breeder wouldn't take us to the vet, and had wormed us 3 times in 1 week with over the counter wormers. Oh we had worms alright, just not the ones she treated us for. And those wormers are too strong for 2 week old kittens anyways. So we were all at death's door. Mommy took me home that day and nursed me back to health.

Here we are 6 years later and me loves mommy more today than ever. She says she feels the same way about me. And me can tell ya', she means it too. Me has so much to be thankful for. Me has a loving mommy who would do anything for me. A wonderful sisfur, a roof over me's head, food in me's belly and lots of pawsome friends. Me is so blest.

Dezi then and nowNovember is the month Americans celebrate Thanksgiving. It's a day set aside to remember to be thankful for the bounty of this land and our freedom. We think it's good to give God thanks every day for the many blessings in our lives. No matter your situation, you are blessed. You have this moment. No one is guaranteed the next so be thankful for what you have. Thank you all for being our friends and reading and sharing our stories. Have a wonderful holiday season. Christmas is coming and will be here before you know it.

Till the next time................. Be Blest!!!
