This photo of Johnnie II was taken a couple of days ago; I was busy preparing some pages for the 2014 NAWCC Calendar, which I publish yearly with photos of clocks and watches sent in by the membership of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors.

It is lot more work than it sounds ... some of the photos go back to the sender ... not fit for publication. Other photos need a little touch up and various adjustments to make them as photogenic as possible.

Johnnie II wanted my attention and my mind was on what I was doing on the computer, I guess Johnnie II gave up in disgust, realizing her Mr. Mom was not in the mood to give her the attention she wanted.

My mind on my work, I did not know this beautiful feline had jumped to the dresser and was outwardly expressing her feelings.  I turned around and  seeing her in that setting, quickly, I grabbed my camera recording the scene for posterity and for my profound pleasure.

Adding this photo to many others of my love Johnnie II ... has its reward ... in revealing what goes on inside a cat’s mind.

A Cats Purr

"Cats make one of the most satisfying sounds in the world: they purr ...

A purring cat is a form of high praise, like a gold star on a test paper. It is reinforcement of something we would all like to believe about ourselves - that we are nice."
