Since I was getting new carpets throughout the house, I decided to get a new bed comforter, among others, matching bed sheets, pillow cases, etc.

Its colour is blue, matching the walls and my future new bedroom rug. Taking off the old tan one that matched my drapes, I proceeded to put the new blue comforter on the queen size bed.

Whenever changing the bed sheets and pillowcases, Frankie decides I need help and she does her usual job of hindering the application of the aforementioned articles.

After "helping" me put the comforter in place on the bed, Frankie decided it was to her advantage to make a game of it, and in her patented way fight each seam, about 12" apart on the blue comforter. She'd lie down on her side and with her clawless front paws try to pull the seams apart. No success, even with jumping, hopping and going through other gyrations in the effort. She leaves.

Johnnie enters the picture. The blue comforter does something that she likes, colour, softness, fluffiness or whatever. It's now her new home. She'll be sleeping on it, at all times, unless duty calls or it is time for some dry food.

We all know cats throw up from time to time, luckily in this household, not very often.  At the computer, I heard Johnnie gagging, and turning around, sure enough her dry food was on my new blue comforter. Quickly, taking a few sheets of Bounty and with a wet sponge the mess disappeared much to my satisfaction.

She just looked at me, no apology, no thank you Mr. Mom, no nothing.

But you know what? I love her just the same.
