Andrew Lane

Daisy and Poppy

Andrew Lane and his wife, Gill, are both education speakers for Cats’ Protection here in the UK.  They both work hard and diligently for the continued well-being and welfare of felines everywhere.  Their own two cats, Poppy and Daisy, are two very loved rescue cats.  They have landed on all eight paws in the home of Andrew and Gill in Southampton, England.

Loving rescue cats is not always easy.  Patience, understanding and bucketloads of love are just three of the components needed to help rescue cats learn to trust their new humans.

Andrew writes with knowledge and compassion about all things feline, and he writes with great love and affection about his ‘girls’.  Poppy and Daisy will pop up occasionally in his interesting articles – which I hope you’ll enjoy.

A Cats Purr

"Cats make one of the most satisfying sounds in the world: they purr ...

A purring cat is a form of high praise, like a gold star on a test paper. It is reinforcement of something we would all like to believe about ourselves - that we are nice."
