5 GOOD REASONS FOR
HAVING YOUR CAT NEUTERED
DID YOU KNOW... |
Images brought to you by
'The
smallest feline is a masterpiece.' Leonardo da Vinci
'Dogs come when called.
Cats take a message and get back to you.'
'Of course, every cat
is really the most beautiful woman in the room.' Edward Verrall Luca,

A morning kiss, a discreet
touch of his nose landing
somewhere on the middle
of my face.
Because his long white
whiskers tickled,
I began every day laughing.
JANET F FAURE |

have owners. Cats have staff.'
'In
the middle of a world that has always been a bit mad, the cat walks with
confidence.'

'Cats make one of the most satisfying sounds in the world: they purr
... A purring cat is a form of high praise, like a gold star on a test
paper. It is reinforcement of something we would all like to believe
about ourselves - that we are nice.' - Roger A Caras
"Of all the [cat] toys available, none is better designed than the
owner himself. A large multipurpose plaything, its parts can be made to
move in almost any direction. It comes completely assembled, and it
makes a noise when you jump on it." -- Stephen Baker
Garfield: 28.03.86 - 12.06.06

JASMINE DEE, CHLOEY and SAM O. VAHR from PA, USA
Our Mew
Year’s Resolutions:
It’s
that time of year for false promises and unrealistic expectations and us cats
are right up there with our owners in wanting to be “purrfect.” No one is
however, as we all know, and among us felines we have vowed that this coming
year we will at least try to behave better as that seems a much more realistic
goal. (Last year we tried to give up catnip and it just failed miserably.) But
we are sincere and are prepared to put our money where our paws are because we
are daring to put it in writing (well, sort of) for the entire world to see.
Here it is:

We do
hereby solemnly swear (that’s me, Jasmine Dee, Maine Coon, Chloey (calico Tabby)
and Sam O. Vahr (domestic black shorthair), who reside in a nice home in the
land of the free and the brave, that in the year 2008 we will:
1.
Leave the living room drapes alone (maybe).
2. Eat
whatever Mommy gives us (not likely).
3. Come
when called. (Ha! If you believe that, I’ve got a bridge to sell you that
connects the borough of Brooklyn to the rest of New York City.)
We will
not:
4. Be
destructive. (Those hand drills are going back to the hardware store tomorrow.)
5.
Ignore our folks when they dare to leave us for more than an hour and don’t take
us with them.
We
realize there are only five things here (yeah, cats can count, especially mice
and fish). We could put more down on the list, but after careful discussion, we
want to be realistic and figure this is the best we can do and all we can handle
at the moment.
Mom and
Pop are gone now and that living room chandelier needs dangling from and here
comes Sammo with those party hats…
Excuse
us please!
Happy
Mew Year!

A
Cat's Prayer'
Lead me down all the right paths,
Keep me from fleas, bees, and baths.
Let me in should it storm,
Keep me safe, fed, and warm.
Let the sun shine where I lay,
Keep me young so I may play.
And most of all ...
Bless the people I adore,
And guard me from the dog next door.
