FelixCatteries are expensive apparently. I would not know about this as I take my holidays in a 5* luxury spa at The Cat’s Whiskers, Grindley, when I graciously allow Maid time away. Some cats don’t like catteries, they pine. Poor little lambs! I do think a break away from your human is a requirement, make them appreciate you more. That’s how Felix came to stay at Tom Cat Towers.

Felix was a bad house guest with no manners or gratitude! He would force himself to the fore at feeding time and grab the lion’s share, which was considered rather rude by the other resident cats. He would hog human knees and glare at anyone who moved. Growling seemed to be Felix’s speciality.

Felix and DumptyHe would sit on radiators by doors and pounce on any unsuspecting cat who meandered from room to room.  I personally gave him a wide berth until one morning as I sashayed into the kitchen to see what Maid was up to, he leapt out and jumped on me then started giving me a proper good thumping with his muscular paws.

Maid rushed into the room and threw a towel over him, then picked him up and shut the spitting snarling hiss ball in the kitchen. Felix was promptly evicted later that day and his meals became home delivery as Maid had to pop round to feed him alone in his empty house twice a day till his humans returned.

We no longer offer the bed and breakfast service at Tom Cat Towers, it was not deemed a success!
