One cat is company. Two cats are a conspiracy. Three cats is an attempted takeover. Four or more cats is a complete coup!o

'Cats make one of the most satisfying sounds in the world: they purr ... A purring cat is a form of high praise, like a gold star on a test paper. It is reinforcement of something we would all like to believe about ourselves - that we are nice.' - Roger A Caras

"Of all the [cat] toys available, none is better designed than the owner himself. A large multipurpose plaything, its parts can be made to move in almost any direction. It comes completely assembled, and it makes a noise when you jump on it." -- Stephen Baker

DYMPY

28th May 1999 - 5th October2010

Dympy

Dympy was a tiny cat, always being mistaken for a kitten.  What she lacked in size, she made up for with a wild and fiery nature.  The most feral of all of my cats, my daughter, Carey, tells me that I should remember that as Dympy was so feral she could have left home at any time, but she chose to stay with me of her own free will.

Many will remember her story; the three legged cat that lost a hind leg through cancer and thrived.  She lived a very happy life on three legs and could do everything a four legged cat could do (sometimes even better).  Since she got rid of that troublesome leg she had been the most happy of cats.

Her death was very untimely.  My vet referred to her as "an old cat".  I did not consider her old at 11 years and almost 5 months.  She went very quickly and did not appear to be in pain.  The picture of her was taken a week before she died.   My vet could find nothing wrong with her and she was scheduled to have x-rays the next day, but she did not make it.  She died early that morning around 4.30 a.m.  I shall never know what it was that took her from me.  I guess top of the list has to be her cancer returned, but it could have been a number of things.

I hope she is happy and playing with all the other cats she knew here.  She is sorely missed by the remaining cats.  Once again there is an empty space in my heart. She is another cat that will never be forgotten and will always be loved.

Sleep tight my little one.

Love from Mummy,

Syddy, Tymmy, Mischief, Butty, Flash, Twinkle, Socks, Sonic and Tilly, not forgetting Widget and Jazz the guinea pigs. xxxxxxxx
