SHORT STORY AND POETRY COMPETITION 2
The second short story and poetry competition has a Christmas theme to it. Stories and poems about your cat can be factual or complete fiction – you decide – but the only criteria – apart from the word count and the lines limit, is that they must be Christmas themed.
Short stories can be up to 1,000 words and poems can be up to 20 lines long. You retain all copyright to your work and if chosen as the winning entry, it will only be used in conjunction with this competition. You can submit up to three pieces of work for consideration and a free appraisal will be given if requested. You do not have to be a published author to enter; any one can enter and this competition – like the first - is absolutely free. There may be a small fee for subsequent short story competitions in the future. Email entries must be submitted by November 21st 2009. Winners will be announced in a future issue of the Mewsletter and the winning entries (one short story and one poem) will be published on the Daily Mews website. A prize will be given for each winning entry. Send your entries to p.dewberry@ntlworld.com Good luck! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
